Question 1

What is RoyaltyCoPilot?

Accepted Answer

RoyaltyCoPilot.ai helps artists, songwriters, and independent publishers review their catalogs for potential royalty gaps. Start with a free artist check using Spotify catalog and available MLC registration data, or create an account to connect your royalty sources. Founder Rick Seibold built it to investigate his own catalog.

Question 2

How do I find out if I have unclaimed royalties?

Accepted Answer

Search your artist name for an initial registration check and a streaming-based estimate where data is available. Then create a free account to review your catalog and connect your royalty sources. Public estimates are not confirmed balances owed to you; ownership, territory, reporting periods, and prior payments need to be checked.

Question 3

Why is my MLC money unmatched?

Accepted Answer

Missing registrations, incomplete ownership information, or recordings not linked to a work can prevent streaming activity from matching correctly. A public lookup can flag a possible issue, but account data and supporting documentation are needed to confirm what happened.

Question 4

Can someone claim royalties on my songs without me knowing?

Accepted Answer

Claims can come from publishers, administrators, or other rightsholders. Review the available claims and ownership details against your agreements before deciding whether a correction or dispute is needed. A third-party claim alone does not establish that anything is wrong.

Question 5

Is it safe to connect my MLC account to a third party?

Accepted Answer

Connecting your MLC account lets RoyaltyCoPilot read the available works, statements, and claims. Registrations and claims require your approval. On Free Scan and Artist, your royalty sources continue paying you directly. You can disconnect in Settings; see our Security page for more information.

Question 6

What percentage does RoyaltyCoPilot take?

Accepted Answer

None. Free Scan and Artist take no percentage of your royalties. Artist is a paid subscription, and your royalty sources keep paying you directly.

Question 7

What does RoyaltyCoPilot cost?

Accepted Answer

The initial artist check and Free Scan account are free. Artist costs $12 billed monthly or $120 billed annually, after a 7-day free trial, and adds guided fixes and monitoring. Choose a paid plan when you are ready to act.

Question 8

How is RoyaltyCoPilot different from a publishing administrator?

Accepted Answer

Start by reviewing your catalog before deciding how you want help. Free Scan and Artist let you retain your existing collection relationships, with no royalty commission.
